Jenson Button Confirms Abu Dhabi will be his last F1 race
Former world champion Jenson Button has confirmed that the season ending race at Abu Dhabi will be his last in F1.

Button, who won the 2009 championship as part of the Brawn team, has been discussing his retirement for some time now and he had signed a two year deal with McLaren to work as an ambassador for the next two years, with the option to return as a driver in 2018 after a sabbatical.

However speaking at the press conference ahead of the Abu Dhabi race Button confirmed that he doesn't see himself racing in F1 after this.

He also said that he's proud of what he's achieved in the sport and happy he got to race for the two teams he dreamed about as a boy.

Button has picked up just 21 points this season, 32 fewer than his team-mate Fernando Alonso.

Talented youngster Stoffel Vandoorne has already been named as Button's replacement for the 2017 season, and could well be part of the team in 2018 as well following Button's announcement.
